+ Inoculated Coco Coir

We provide enough inoculated coco coir to start from seed, clones or to buffer your transplant.

Our coco is inoculated with 19 beneficial bacteria and 11 beneficial fungi. This product helps protect your roots from the nutrient-rich soil until the plant is able to form a strong relationship with the fungi. Once that relationship has been formed, your plant will easily be able to absorb the nutrients on its own.

Instructions:

Seed in the Soil:

  • If starting directly in Canadian Organic Soil, place a 7 cm buffer of inoculated coco in the center of your soil.

Clone or Seed in Starting/Rooting Container:

  • Use a container roughly the size of a large plastic cup (like a solo cup) and fill this with the inoculated coco.
  • You can then begin your seed or fresh clone cutting directly in this medium until transplanting time.

Plant is Already Started in Another Container/Medium:

  • When it’s time to transplant, take your current container and place it inside your new growing container.
  • Once completed, pour Canadian Organic Soil into the larger container, making sure to surround the old container on all sides.
  • Your starting container will act as a template to ensure that once you have finished pouring, a perfectly sized hole will be available for your transplant. We recommend leaving 2.5cm of space between the sides of your starting container and the final growing container’s soil. The gap, which will resemble a moat around the starting container, should then be filled with inoculated coco.

  • Once the pouring is complete, remove your starting container. There should be a hole in its place. Add 2.5cm of inoculated coco to the bottom of this hole to complete the inoculated coco lining.

  • Finally, transplant from your starting container into the lined hole.
